Getting Back to “Normal”

While life may not ever look exactly like it did pre-pandemic, there seems to be some relief in sight.  Just take a drive down Elk Grove Blvd. and Laguna and you realize quickly that those much lighter traffic days seem to be a thing of the past.  Folks are getting vaccinated and feeling empowered to get back out in the world.  Many of us still have our concerns and rightly so, we never want to go back into quarantine and with talk of new strains there are still a lot of unknowns.

No matter how you choose to get back to normal, or the new normal, there are options.  If you are uncomfortable with the level of capacity some businesses have, find a work-around.  Maybe pick up your dinner and head to Elk Grove Park for a picnic dinner away from others but still out of the house and better yet, in the fresh air.

Some of us will return to normal more slowly than others as time passes and concerns ease.  Either way, our businesses need our help to survive, especially those in the hardest hit industries.  Food Services, Hospitality, and personal services to name a few.  We encourage you to shop locally and support our community however you can.

There is a new shop local program in Elk Grove called Local Pass.  It offers a free mobile pass for easy access to exclusive Elk Grove deals. Pass holders can unlock deals, discounts, special packages, pre-fixed family meals, and a chance to win weekly prizes.

Anyone can sign up for the pass by visiting Nothing to download and no app required. When it’s time to redeem special deals, pass holders simply show their phone to the business associate to activate the deal and check-in for a chance to win.  What a great way to help us all on the road back to “Normal”.
