BUSINESS IN ELK GROVE………..
CITY ZONING CODE CHANGES IN OFFING - The City of Elk
Grove has released the draft of the City Zoning Code update for
public review. Because the Zoning Code specifies how
individual property can be developed by providing the rules and
regulations that control what is built on the ground and how, it
is important that business owners and landowners participate in
the adoption of any new zoning code.
A public workshop will be held on August 17 at 6:30 pm in the
Council Chambers at City Hall, 8400 Laguna Palms Way. Two study
sessions have been scheduled with the Planning Commission to
review the draft. The first, on August 25, will focus on
Articles III (Zoning Districts, Allowed Uses, and Development
Standards) and IV (Site Planning and General Development
Regulations). The second study session will be on September 1
and will look at all other sections of the document. Both
meetings will be held at City Hall and start at 6:30pm
The draft is available on the City's website at http://www.egplanning.org/gp_zoning/zoning/comprehensive/ and at the Planning Department. 8400 Laguna Palms Way, Elk
Grove. If you have any questions or would like more information
about the Zoning Code Update project, please contact Pam Johns,
Elk Grove Planning Department, at 361.8384 or pjohns@cityofelkgrove.org
