NOTICE OF VACANCY ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE FLORIN RESOURCE CONSERVATION DISTRICT

PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 1780, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on July 5, 2005, the Board of Directors of the Florin Resource Conservation District was notified of the resignation of Director Carl P. Amundson, Jr., effective July 1, 2005.  Director Amundson’s resignation creates a vacancy on the Board which shall be filled by appointment as provided by Government Code section 1780.  Appointment shall occur at least fifteen (15) days after the date of this notice.

The Board invites interested parties to submit a letter of interest to the District Manager Michael B. Kenny at 9257 Elk Grove Boulevard, Elk Grove, CA 95624, by Friday, August 5, 2005.  Interested parties may attend the Florin Resource Conservation District Board meeting, dnesday, August 10, 2005, at 8:00 a.m. at which time the Board will appoint a Director to fill the vacancy.
