CHAMBER NEWS HIGHLIGHTS Chamber comments on City roadway fee proposal “No government fee should be put on autopilot,” stated Elk Grove Chamber Of Commerce president Mike Wortell in talking about the City of Elk Grove’s Development Impact Fees for Roadway Facilities considered by the Council on January 19, 2005. Wortell stated that completion of the Nexus study, which shows the relationship of the fees to the services, was welcome, as were the downward adjustments made in some fees as a result of completion of the study. However, the automatic adjustment in the ordinance also came into play, resulting in an overall increase in fees. The new fee schedule was adopted by the Council. |
