The recommended Slate of Officers and Directors for
2006 of the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce has been submitted by the
Nominating Committee and distributed to the voting members.
As set forth in the Bylaws, the Nominating Committee was charged with
creating a recommended Slate of officers and directors to fill those
vacancies for the coming year as a result of the expiration of terms of
some of the current directors and to select specified officers for the
coming year. This year, four regular director positions (of three
years) were available, as well as the President-Elect Position. With
the selection of one board member to fill the President-Elect position,
a one-year term also came open.
The Nominating Committee reviewed the qualifications of several
outstanding Chamber members expressing an interest in serving on the
Board. Chairman of the Committee Gregg Mason noted that the Committee
worked diligently to fulfill its mission and the slate as recommended
will provide the Chamber with an infusion of new ideas, commitment and
knowledge.
As accepted by the Board of Directors at the September 13 meeting, the
recommended Slate of Officers and Directors for 2006 includes the
following:
