Installation & Volunteer Recognition Banquet
January 6, 2011
An annual event honoring the incoming and outgoing Chamber Board of
Directors and Officers and presentation of awards for volunteers and
businesses.
Monthly Membership Luncheons
Usually held the last Friday of the month from 11:30-1:00 pm.
Provides
a forum for members’ meeting that includes disseminating information
to the members, providing informational speakers and spotlighting

State of the City Address
March 26, 2011 - Tentatively
Mayor outlines the City’s
goals and objectives, provides an overview of city accomplishments,
and issues of importance to the community. Event sponsorships will
be available.
Salute to Education
April, 2011
Awarding Howard Wackman Memorial Scholarship to
students interested in a career in Agriculture.
Business Expo
Spring 2011
A full day event with vendor area, break-out sessions, luncheon and
mixer. This event is designed to provide a forum for local business
to market their companies and help them understand the current
status of the economy.
We will provide valuable information to help them survive and
thrive, and to give them the opportunity to network with some
valuable resources and potential clients.
Biz Educational Series
February- November 2011
First Thursday of the month beginning in February and ending in
November.
Ten 2-hour workshops (11:00am–1:00pm). A business development
educational series with topics focusing on business growth and
operations.
Leadership Elk Grove
March-October 2011
Second Tuesday of the month (8:30am-12:30pm).
A training program designed to build future leaders by
providing education on the community, business in Elk Grove, key
issues impacting business and the community, leadership skills and
ways to influence policy decisions. Sessions are half-day and held
at a variety of locations throughout the region, with each location
chosen for its relevance to the topic of the day.
Discover Elk Grove (w/EDC) Luncheon October 2011
Showcase the quality of life in Elk Grove by providing a forum for
business displays, presentation of information on doing business in
the area and creation of new jobs.
Monthly Mixers
Morning Mixers
are held the 2nd Wednesday of every other month from
7:30–9:00 am.
Evening Mixers are
usually held the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 5:30-7:00 pm.
An informal social gathering held at a different Chamber
business location each month.
The objective is to acquaint the local business and
professional people with Chamber members, potential new members, and
to pinpoint their place of business, their services, and their
products.

Member Orientation
An orientation for members to the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce.
Prospective, new, and ongoing members welcome. Orientation is
held every other month at the Chamber Office on the first Wednesday,
from 9 am to 10 am, beginning in January 2011.
